![]() | Alright, so, [Bucky's still in his room, which looks the same as normal Bucky's room, but Bucky himself looks about a decade younger, and for the first time literally in his entire time on board isn't wearing some kind of military uniform. It's been swapped out for a buttoned down plaid shirt with a t-shirt underneath, jeans and sneakers, and he looks a little out of place in the pretty spartan, clearly military room he's hanging out in.] Either this flood's just switched all our rooms around - Stiles, this one might be yours? - or we traded memories or something, so I guess no one knows who we're dealing with anymore. Might be a good idea to start swapping stories so we know what we've got. I'll go first: I'm Bucky Barnes, I'm seventeen, and I'm from Beacon Hills, California. I'm here as a warden, and my best friend Steve Rogers and I were trying to get a lacrosse league going here, which I'm pretty sure we're still up for doing if anyone's interested. It's not like the CES went anywhere, right? Although I guess I'm gonna need to borrow a stick until my room gets back to normal. Or I guess if you're crashing in it, lemme know. There should be a lot of comics and stuff on the floor. [Don't judge, he was looking for something and didn't get around to tidying up before the flood hit.] So, who do you think you're supposed to be? |

You can come by and get the lacrosse stick. Actually we should probably just swap rooms.

[And now he's just going to look mock disappointed, because God, Stiles, way to ruin his day!!] And here I was just about to try on your uniform.

Go for it. Tell me more about lacrosse.
no subject
Sort of.

[Also, okay, something else, given his conversation with Steve.]
[Private]
Hey, so, can I ask you something?

[Private]
Sure. What's on your mind?

[Now that he's said it, he's kind of regretting it, because he's not sure he likes the idea of Steve painting a target on his back for anyone who doesn't like werewolves, but apparently it's happening and he's kind of got to accept it. Might as well be trying to figure out how to damage control this as best as possible now, right?
Right?]
So Cap- [It's still weird to think of him by his first name.] Scott wasn't always like that, right? [Which he already knows, he's just. Taking a minute to get to the point. 8(]

[We are so lucky that's all that's happening so far. :x]
[Private]
No, he wasn't. [Stiles leans back in the chair a little.] Used to be a skinny little asthmatic guy.
private
How do you keep an eye out for him? When, you know. [The bullies you're fighting are suddenly a hell of a lot scarier than some asshole jock who got his jollies from shoving you in a locker?] You're just normal.
private
I try to protect him however I can even if he doesn't need me to step in and punch people for him anymore.
private
[They're not fighting Nazis, Bucky doesn't want to kill anyone, but there are people out there who will want to hurt Steve, and they're still kind of working out stuff like control, and whether or not this is a good thing or a totally awful thing, and honestly he just has no idea what to do.]
Stuff's kind of different for us, I guess, and it's weird not being able to do that anymore, you know?
private
I think there's a definite adjustment period in order when big things change, yeah.
private
[If he was a different person, he'd maybe be tempted to just come out with it, say "I accidentally got my best friend attacked by a werewolf and now we're dealing with that", but. It's not his secret to tell, and he'd rather shoot himself in the foot than out Steve.]
Sorry, I was just thinking about some stuff. Thanks for answering.
private
It's no problem. If you ever wanna talk about stuff, you know where to find me, Bucky.
private
Because Steve's an idiot.]
Sure do, now that we're changing rooms.
private
We'll probably both be more comfortable in our own rooms.
