Alright, so, [Bucky's still in his room, which looks the same as normal Bucky's room, but Bucky himself looks about a decade younger, and for the first time literally in his entire time on board isn't wearing some kind of military uniform. It's been swapped out for a buttoned down plaid shirt with a t-shirt underneath, jeans and sneakers, and he looks a little out of place in the pretty spartan, clearly military room he's hanging out in.] Either this flood's just switched all our rooms around - Stiles, this one might be yours? - or we traded memories or something, so I guess no one knows who we're dealing with anymore. Might be a good idea to start swapping stories so we know what we've got.

I'll go first: I'm Bucky Barnes, I'm seventeen, and I'm from Beacon Hills, California. I'm here as a warden, and my best friend Steve Rogers and I were trying to get a lacrosse league going here, which I'm pretty sure we're still up for doing if anyone's interested. It's not like the CES went anywhere, right?

Although I guess I'm gonna need to borrow a stick until my room gets back to normal. Or I guess if you're crashing in it, lemme know. There should be a lot of comics and stuff on the floor. [Don't judge, he was looking for something and didn't get around to tidying up before the flood hit.]

Geez, I hope all the floods are just turning into dogs and switching rooms. It would make things a lot easier.

So far, so good. But I guess maybe I shouldn't plan for things to stay that way, all the time.

Please, if I was gonna hold something against you, it probably wouldn't be that.

Yeah, probably. [It's just hard to plan for stuff that you can't. Really plan for.] You ever have the feeling like, "when did my life turn into a B-Movie?"

[He might be having that a lot, lately.]

Okay, yeah. There's plenty of other stuff that you could hold against me that we'll just never mention.

Only all the time. Except at least it's a B-movie with decent special effects. [Because otherwise that would suck, you know?]

I'm more worried about the fact that this ship is big... but it's not that big. [People might, you know. Notice things. In fact, they probably will.]

Yeah, I hear you. [That is definitely something he's been worrying about, because he definitely doesn't want Steve getting chased around by a mob with torches and pitchforks.

People seem like they're pretty alright with people who are different, but. It's hard to shake that worry.] ... Has anyone noticed stuff?

Oh, and what am I, chopped liver? [He's grinning too much for it to be taken as anything other than a tease.]

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'd notice if they've noticed. [They'd be nervous, and he'd be able to tell.] But I'm not sure what to do about it. It'd seem kinda weird to suddenly announce, "Hey everyone, by the way, I didn't bother telling you before but... I'm kind of a werewolf," after the fact, you know?

I wouldn't go that far, [He says with one of those obnoxious grins you should absolutely have been expecting in response, sorry not sorry.]

Yeah, I'd say that's not one of your better plans.

... Which is definitely not a challenge to make it one of them, so don't go getting any ideas. [He already feels guilty enough about indirectly getting you bit in the first place, he doesn't need more crippling guilt. B(]

Yeah, that makes me feel better. [Yeah he knows that grin. He does't expect you to actually be sorry.]

Okay sometimes I have good plans, though. [Sometimes! Just... yeah, that's not one of them.]

Well, it's going to come out somehow. It's better if it's when I decide, right? So... better plan, then. [Not that he has one.

Oh, and stop feeling guilty. Just stop. He can tell.]

(His logic is totally sound.)]

You're gonna just tell people?

[Okay, he knows this probably makes sense, but. Man, this had better not go terribly wrong?]

[(It is not, just stop. You fail at logic.)]

Is that such a bad idea? I mean - maybe sooner is better than later. Before anything does happen.

Yeah, definitely.

[It's just hard to have your back when you're a teenager with a lacrosse stick and the things you're going up against aren't intimidated of that at all. Ever.

[Besides the werewolf thing. This isn't even him trying to be a jerk about your personality or whatever.]

But yeah, the werewolf thing even throws him a little, sometimes.]

It's the only way I'm gonna make it through this, I'm pretty sure.

That's the only way you've made it through a couple things.

I don't think I'd tell anyone, if you weren't here to back me up.

[It's good to hear that, honestly. Well, you know, good and bad, because it's not like Bucky's thrilled about this in general, but, well. It's not like you really need him to physically fight off bullies anymore.

But that itself is kind of the issue here, because Bucky doesn't know how he can have his back if someone decides they do have a problem with the teenage werewolf. He's just a normal guy. He can't keep up, and he can't always fight back, and that's hard.

It still hasn't changed how this is going to go, though.]

Look, I meant what I said. You're my brother, Steve. I'm with you to the end of the line.

[The funny thing is, it never really mattered to Steve who was physically stronger. Okay, yeah, it made a difference, but Bucky hasn't suddenly become unimportant in his life just because he doesn't need help in a fistfight. Bucky could never not be important, and the only thing that's changed is Steve worrying that this whole werewolf thing is going to end up getting Bucky hurt, on his behalf. Or worse, by him.]

The end of the line's a long way off. I'm betting I'm gonna have to put up with you... pretty much forever, then.

[He looks grateful, for that. And hopeful.] 'Cause that's how long you're stuck with me. [And you should not try to get rid of a persistent werewolf. It clearly won't end well.] Got it?
