[Directly following this lovely little misunderstanding and this conversation, Bucky is making a post to the network to let you all know what, exactly, is going on. He doesn't love having to explain himself - you guys aren't his superiors, and he doesn't want this to turn into a let's all gang up on the crazy kid fiasco, but he's been around long enough to know people like explanations, and he wants to make sure the record's straight before this turns into a witch hunt or something.

So basically, be prepared for an unapologetic, I know what I'm doing and this is not up for discussion warden in the responses.]

This probably isn't news to anyone, but about an hour or so ago, my inmate - Ben - attacked Kozak in a hallway. I just want to make it clear that I talked with him, and this isn't gonna happen again. [Hopefully. :\] Ben's kinda unstable, port shook him up pretty badly, and he thought Kozak was a kind of monster that would attack and kill him if he didn't get at him first. Anything that doesn't look like a baseline human has potential to set him off, so I'd stay on your toes.

I'm not sending him to Zero. After what happened, it'd just make the situation worse, and I'm really not interested in having a repeat incident as soon as he gets out again. And if anyone starts using this as a reason to try and antagonize him, I really don't think you're gonna like what happens.

Dr. Kozak, thank you very much. I'm no monster. And if he has a problem with non-humans, then shouldn't it be up to you to get a handle on that? No one should be afraid because someone is out of control, and someone else isn't doing their job properly.

So, let me get this straight. Your inmate is antagonized by anyone who does not look like a baseline human, but you're trying to order us not to antagonize him. So what should we nonhumans do, politely disappear?

It strikes me that you need to get better control of your Inmate instead of expecting the rest of us to accommodate his insanity. For example, since he's so troubled by anyone who is not baseline in appearance, keep him out of my pub. He will definitely end up in Zero if he causes trouble here.

I'm saying if you antagonize him, he'll try and hurt you, and believe me, he's very good at what he does. It was a warning, not an order. We're trying to work through it, but like I said to Kozak [Who is never being addressed as doctor SORRY HE DOESN'T REALLY DO TITLES.] it's not gonna be something that happens just because I tell him "hey kid, don't do this". It's gonna take time, and I'm asking people to be cautious for their own safety, because honestly, if there was someone wandering around who might attack me just because I looked funny to them? I'd want to know so I could keep an eye out.

And he's never been in "your" pub. But if you want him to stay out, we're not gonna bother you.

Not bothering me would be a very good idea. If he's going to go into a xenophobic frenzy every time he sees one of us who does not pass, I don't want him anywhere near my pub, myself, or my friends. And frankly, if someone that violent, dangerous and easily set off isn't being monitored constantly or punished for his misdeeds, I worry for the safety of every nonhuman on the Barge.

This isn't xenophobia, it's psychosis. And he is being monitored, Jesus, what kind of a moron do you think I am? This happened while I was standing next to him, completely out of the blue, and he backed off when I told him to let him go. But he's been monitored basically twenty four hours a day since he got here, and I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you. I'm trying to do my job, and do what's best for him and for everyone else, and believe me, if there was an easy solution, I'd take it.

When you say it ain't happening again, you mean you're on him every hour of the day an' seeing to it it won't, right? Or do you got some other plan?

Is there anyone on board who knows how to deal with something like this? [She doesn't want to just volunteer the Professor, and he might not have the same skill set anyway.] Actual, you know, therapists?

I mean I'm on him unless he's sleeping or got Rhade and the other guys on the dinner shift lookin' at him. If you've got other suggestions, I'd be happy to hear 'em.

Not really sure how that's gonna help him get over the issues that got him here. [But that does sound, for a lot of reasons, like it would be easier. :c]
